It becomes more interesting when you have puzzles to solve & games to play !

I recently completed a course titled " Foundations of Design Thinking" by FocusU Academy. The concepts of design thinking were very simply yet effectively explained via storytelling. A story about a cafe' and how the owner of the cafe' turned around the business by using simple design thinking principles. The use of examples from daily life was simply superb which helped me corelate with concepts like immersive empathy, the DFV model to evaluate an idea and many more.

At FocusU Academy, we often refer to learners as ‘explorers.’🕵️‍♀️

If you think about it, learning for most of us is a process of exploration. It begins with an objective to solve or uncover something (like a quest). ⛰🧭

We look around us to find something that can help us. We stumble upon something useful. We learn how to do it. 👩‍🚀

We try out a skill in small and big ways. Practising, falling, getting up and gaining confidence every time. 🚵‍♀️ Sometimes, we peek at what other explorers are doing and pick up some tricks. 🐵

At times, a mindful coach helps us polish some of the rough moves with specific feedback. 👩‍🏫 And when we finish exploring a point, we look at the landscape around us and choose the next direction to take (or decide to relax and enjoy). 🌄

It is a self–directed process, governed by how deep or further one wants to explore—we consume as much information as we need, learning primarily from our experiences and reflecting upon them. It is unnatural to load the exploration process with information. They do absolutely NO benefit!

So, stop ‘learning’, and start exploring! #learningdesign #FUAStories
